Akratitos FC is a Greek football club from Ano Liosia, a suburb of Athens . For many years the club eked its rather unnoticed existence in the lower leagues, but in 2001 it made the surprising jump into the top division of Greece. The club was able to stay there for four years (2001-2004, 2005/06) and in 2003 it even took part in an international competition, but in the first round of the UEFA Intertoto Cup the club was defeated by the Finnish representative AC Allianssi (0 : 0, 0: 1). After relegation in 2006, the club withdrew from professional football into fourth class for financial reasons, and is now only in fifth class (West Attica Alpha Division). Even in the first division, the club always had a spectator problem, the 26 visitors in the game against Skoda Xanthi mean the absolute minus record in the Alpha Ethniki. The home games are played in the Yiannis Pathiakakis Stadium, which can hold almost 5,000 spectators.
