Alícia Homs Ginel

Alícia Homs Ginel (born October 15, 1993 in Palma de Mallorca ) is a Spanish politician of the Partido Socialista Obrero Español (PSOE). She has been a member of the European Parliament since 2019 .

Life

Homs Ginel studied Political Science and State and Public Administration with a major in International Relations at the Autonomous University of Barcelona . She worked as a technical advisor for the Regional Ministry of Labor of the Balearic Islands .

In the elections to the European Parliament in Spain in 2019 , she was placed as a candidate of the PSOE in 17th place on the list of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party and elected to the European Parliament. She took up her mandate on July 2, 2019 and belongs to the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Social Democrats in the European Parliament . Homs has also been President of the Young European Socialists since 2019 .
