Al-Buraimi College

The al-Buraimi College (University College) ( Arabic آلية البريمي, DMG ālīyat al-Buraimi ) is a state-recognized private university in al-Buraimi , Oman . It was founded in 2003 and is under the supervision of the Omani Ministry of Science ( English Ministry of Higher Education ).

Academic connection

All private higher education institutions in Oman must have an academic connection to a renowned international university or college. Al-Buraimi College has an academic relationship with California State University, Northridge . The latter also awards the academic degrees .

courses

Three types of qualifications can be obtained at the university: a “Diploma” (2-year training period), an “Advanced Diploma” (3-year training period) and a “ Bachelor Degree” (4-year training period). The stages can be run through consecutively. Currently (2008) Bachelor programs are offered in the following courses:

  • Business Administration (Engl. Business Administration) with the disciplines of accounting, personnel management, marketing and international business administration,
  • Computer science with the subjects Information System and Computer Science as well
  • English studies (English language and literature).
