Al-Dostor , also Al-Dustour ( Arabic الدستور, DMG ad-Dustūr  'The Constitution') is an independent Arabic- language daily newspaper from Egypt . The newspaper was co-founded in 1995 by Ibrahim Eissa who was its first editor-in-chief. After Ibrahim Eissa, Esam Nabawy took over the editorial management.

Al-Dostor has made a name for itself as a voice critical of the government. Its editor-in-chief Ibrahim Eissa has been arrested and tried several times. In March 2014, 23-year-old photo reporter Mayada Ashraf was shot dead after watching a demonstration by the Muslim Brotherhood in Ain Shams, a suburb of Cairo and the seat of Ain Shams University , for the newspaper's online portal .
