Alain van Katwijk
Alain van Katwijk (born February 28, 1979 in Bladel ) is a former Dutch cyclist .
Alain van Katwijk won the “Ster van Brabant” in 2000. A year later he won a stage at the OZ Wielerweekend , as well as the overall ranking of the "Ronde van Midden-Brabant", where in 2002 he won a stage. In 2003 Alain van Katwijk was successful in the two one-day races Ronde van Overijssel and Omloop der Kempen . In 2006 he won the overall ranking of the Ronde van Midden-Brabant for his team Procomm-Van Hemert . From 2007 he drove for the Dutch Continental Team Van Vliet-EBH-Advocaten .
Alain van Katwijk comes from a family who are crazy about cycling. His father Johan van Katwijk was a professional, his cousin Nathalie van Katwijk is also a cyclist and his uncle Piet van Katwijk and Fons van Katwijk, who won two stages in the Vuelta a España in 1978 .
