Alaitz eta Maider was a Basque trikitixa band that combined classic Basque accordion rhythms with elements of pop music .

The musicians Alaitz Telletxea and Maider Zabalegi , both born in 1976 in Oiartzun , Gipuzkoan , got together at the age of 14 to initially perform at smaller competitions and concerts. With the support of the Basque folk musician Joseba Tapia, they released their first album Alaitz eta Maider in 1997 , of which more than 25,000 copies were sold. In addition to touring South America and Japan, they released two more CDs called Inshala (1999) and Auskalo (2002) before they parted ways in late 2004.

Maider played the Trikitixa , a Basque diatonic accordion, eponymous for the style Triki-Pop , a mixture of Celtic folk , rock and jazz . She was accompanied by Alaitz with the tambourine and other musicians on drums, bass and guitar.
