Alastair Graham

Alastair Graham (born November 6, 1906 , † December 12, 2000 in Reading ) was a British malacologist . He was Professor at the University of Reading and Fellow of the Royal Society (1979).

Graham was from 1929 at the University of Sheffield , from 1933 at Birkbeck College at the University of London and from 1947 to 1952 Professor of Zoology at the University of London. He was then a professor at the University of Reading.

He dealt with the functional anatomy of molluscs, especially fore gill snails (Prosobranchia), about which he wrote monographs with Vera Fretter .
