history

The Odense Isstadion was opened in 1999 and has since been home to the professional ice hockey team Odense Bulldogs from the AL-Bank Ligaen . Competitions in other sports are organized by Odense Skøjteklub, Odense Curling Club and Odense Rulleskøjte Klub.

The hall is sponsored by the Vestfyen Arena . The sponsor is Vestfyen Bruggeriet (Vestfyen Brewery).

In 1999 half of the games of the Ice Hockey B World Championship were played in the arena.
