Albano Harguindeguy
Albano Eduardo Harguindeguy (born February 11, 1927 in Villa Valeria , † October 29, 2012 in Los Polvorines ) was an Argentine general and interior minister under the dictator Jorge Rafael Videla at the time of the Argentine military dictatorship .
Harguindeguy was accused of human rights abuses, but he was pardoned in 1989 by President Carlos Menem along with other members of the dictatorship. In 2004 he refused to testify in court and was placed under house arrest. In 2006 a pardon was rejected by another judge. Harguindeguy died under house arrest.
