Albany is a font from the sans serif linear antiqua or sans serif group. It is very similar to the Helvetica and Arial fonts . The font is owned by Agfa Monotype Corporation; the name of the font was protected by it as a trademark.
distribution
The font is supplied by Sun with StarOffice and is the standard font there. In the free and free offshoot OpenOffice.org this is not included. Several other open source projects had also distributed the font with their products, at least temporarily. However, the font itself is not free. It is offered commercially at a price of around € 20.00.
