Albatross Island is an island in the Bay of Isles on the north coast of South Georgia . It is located 3 km southeast of Cape Buller .
The American ornithologist Robert Cushman Murphy mapped it on his voyage with the brig Daisy (1912–1913) and named the island after the albatrosses he observed here.
