Albert Danner

Albert Danner (born April 24, 1913 in Dornbirn ; † June 9, 1991 in Feldkirch ) was an Austrian politician ( FPÖ ) and master confectioner. From 1964 to 1969 he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament .

education and profession

Danner completed the elementary and community school in Dornbirn and completed an apprenticeship as a pastry chef. In his learned profession, he worked in various pastry shops and hotels in Germany. After serving in the Second World War, he was only able to return from captivity in 1948. He then became the owner of a pastry shop in 1948 and from 1959 ran the Danner Café in Dornbirn. Furthermore, Danner was from 1953 to 1958 a subject teacher at the vocational school.

Politics and functions

Danner joined the FPÖ and held the office of city party chairman of the FPÖ Dornbirn within the party. From 1965 to 1976 he was a member of the state party executive of the FPÖ Vorarlberg and also worked as a member of the state party leadership of the FPÖ Vorarlberg. From 1965 he was also FPÖ regional cultural advisor. Danner was sworn in on May 7, 1960 as a member of the Dornbirn city council and was a member of this until April 30, 1970. From May 14, 1985 to April 26, 1990 he was a substitute member of the city council. At the state level, he was active from October 29, 1964 to October 28, 1969 as a member of the Feldkirch constituency in the Vorarlberg state parliament.

In addition to his professional and political commitment, Danner also held numerous other functions. He was a co-founder and board member of Volksbank Dornbirn and was active in the Vorarlberg confectioners' guild, where he also served as guild master from 1965 to 1980. He was also active in the master craftsman's examination commission and the journeyman's examination commission, was Deputy Federal Guild Master in 1975 and, from 1969, a Councilor of the Vorarlberg Chamber of Commerce. He was also a founding member of the Bodensee confectioners' guild, board member of the Dornbirner Verkehrsverein and board member of the ring of liberal traders.

Private

Albert Danner was born the son of the baker Zeno Danner and his wife Rosa. His father died in World War I on September 6, 1914. Albert Danner married Ida Katharina Grabher-Mayer on February 6, 1939 and had a son and two daughters born between 1939 and 1943.
