Albert Hopfenbeck

Albert Hopfenbeck (* 1938 in Lauterhofen ) is a German clergyman and cathedral dean .

Life

Hopfenbeck was ordained a priest on June 29, 1964. At first he was a temporary priest in Nuremberg- Reichelsdorf , Treuchtlingen and St. Moritz , Ingolstadt . Then he became a chaplain in Dollnstein . In 1965 he became a temporary priest in Mailing, in 1966 a chaplain in Weißenburg in Bavaria , and in 1968 in the Münster parish in Ingolstadt. In 1968 he was given leave of absence for further studies in Munich. He did his doctorate in this matter. iur. can. From 1976 he worked at the diocesan court in Eichstätt, from 1979 to 1987 as a vice-official. In 1980 he became cathedral vicar and in 1983 cathedral capitular . Between 1983 and 1987 he was permanent deputy of the bishop on the board of trustees of the Catholic University of Eichstätt . From 1988 to 2002 he was the official of the diocesan court. In 1989 he was elected cathedral dean. In 2004 he retired.

Since 1961 he has been a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Alcimonia Eichstätt.
