Albert Kasch (economist)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Albert Kasch (born October 2, 1890 in Zarrentin , † 1956 ) was a German economist and author.

Kasch was the son of the farm owner Martin Kasch, who had died before his son finished his training, and his wife Katharina, née. Meier. After attending and finishing high school in Demmin in 1909, Albert began his studies in Göttingen , where he studied chemistry , just as he did later in Halle . He also stayed in Munich, where he enrolled in economics , and in Berlin for one semester before studying again in Halle for five semesters, and then doing his rigorosum in economics with Julius Pierstorff in Jena on June 28, 1919 . The time span from the beginning to the end of the course, which is given as 10 semesters, but also as ten years, suggests that Kasch did military service during that time .

After graduating, Albert Kasch stayed in Jena and joined the public administration.
