Albert Kunius

Albert Kunius (born May 15, 1575 in Leonberg ; † 1611 ) was a German classical philologist and poet as well as a professor at the University of Tübingen .

Life

Albert Kunius enrolled at a university in 1592. In 1599 he was preceptor in the monastery school in Hirsau , in 1604 a deacon in Göppingen , then professor of the Greek language at the University of Tübingen.

His portrait, painted in the 17th century, hangs in the Tübingen professors' gallery .
