Albert Wouters

Albert Wouters (born July 15, 1964 in Brussels , † October 30, 2014 in Woluwé-Saint-Lambert ) was a Belgian football player.

The athletic Vorstopper Wouters began his professional career in 1983 at the age of 18 in the first team of RWD Molenbeek , with which he was champion of the second division . About Royal Francs Borains and La Louvière he came to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise , where he was the leading defender for seven years and between 1990 and 1997 completed a total of 151 league games in division two and division three.

After his active career, he became a coach; most recently Wouters looked after the U-16 youth of KV Woluwe-Zaventem .

He died of a heart attack on October 30, 2014 at the age of 50 . Wouters left behind his wife Aline Grouwels and two daughters and two sons.
