from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Joseph Albert Friedrich Eberhard Ringler , von Ringler from 1812 , (* May 15, 1785 in Ludwigsburg , † May 16, 1864 in Beutelsbach ) was a Württemberg officer and member of the state parliament.

life and work

Albert Ringler was the son of the director of the Ludwigsburg porcelain factory Josef Jacob Ringler and his wife Christiane Friederike geb. Wolfing. He entered the service of Württemberg as a soldier and took part in almost all campaigns in which Württemberg troops were involved between 1800 and 1814. During the Russian campaign in 1812 he was taken prisoner, from which he returned in 1814. After 1815 he lived as a major in Beutelsbach.

Although he was unsuccessful in the election, he entered the Württemberg state parliament in 1833 instead of the originally elected Gottlob Tafel . Tafel was not allowed to serve as a member of parliament because of a criminal record. In 1845 Ringler did not run for office anymore.

In 1812 Albert Ringler was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Württemberg Military Merit Order. With the award of the order the elevation into personal nobility ( ennoblement ) and a pension was connected.
