Alberto Fuguet
Alberto Fuguet de Goyeneche (born March 7, 1964 in Santiago ) is a Chilean writer , film director and producer.
In the 1990s, Alberto Fuguet published the anthology McOndo , in which Latin American and Spanish writers published "Cuentos" in opposition to the magical realism of the booming generation in Latin America. In the foreword, which was often viewed as a manifesto for the fictional country McOndo, Fuguet proclaims the same (McOndo, a neologism from Macondo and McDonald's and Macintosh), which stands for an Americanized and consumer-oriented penetration of society. He decidedly opposes Realismo Mágico , which was heralded primarily by García Márquez 's work " One Hundred Years of Solitude ", in which the creation of the small village of Macondo can also be found.
Through McOndo , among other things, attention was drawn to the development of pop culture and the influence of cinema, TV, pop music and consumption.
