Albertus Parisiensis

Albertus Parisiensis (ca.1146 - ca.1177) was a French singer and composer .

Live and act

Albert probably came from Étampes in the Mirande arrondissement . In the only phase of his life that is documented, he was a singer at the Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral ( Île de la Cité ). He left a number of liturgical books for the cathedral . The only surviving piece from his pen is the Conductus Congaudeant Catholici .
