Albrecht Giersch

Albrecht Giersch ( pseudonym Bruno Lossa ; * 1880 in Langendreer , † 1946 in Lüdenscheid ) was a German writer .

He lived for a long time in Eilenburg ( Saxony ), where he came as an editor in 1925/26. His city chronicle is still recognized today. In 1927, illustrated with pictures by Horst Schönfelder, he published a poem about The small people's wedding on the Eilenburg . He dealt in depth with the history of Eilenburg and in 1930, together with the Thuringian writer Otto Cimutta, published the chronicle of the city of Eilenburg in the form of a brochure, which began in 869.

During the first years of Nazi rule, Albrecht Giersch worked as chief editor of the daily newspaper Eilenburger Latest News . His areas of responsibility included politics and culture. Later he also dealt with religious topics. Two of these works were on the list of literature to be sorted out in 1947 in the Soviet zone of occupation .
