Album for the youth

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Album for the Young , op. 68 (composed in 1848), is a cycle of 43 piano pieces by Robert Schumann . In contrast to the children's scenes , many pieces in the first part are also suitable for children or beginners. The second part, from number 19 on, has the addition “For adults” and also contains more technically demanding pieces.

meaning

The album for the youth is one of the standard works for piano lessons - not least because of its diversity. The most popular is probably number 10, Happy Farmer, returning from work . Also very well known are number 8, Wilder Reiter and number 13, May, dear May .
