history

Aldious was founded in June 2008 in Osaka by singer Rami and guitarist Yoshi. They played some local shows and released two songs on the compilation album Red Hot Burning Hell Vol. 16. Shortly afterwards, bassist Sawa and guitarist Ruki left the band. In January 2009 guitarist Toki joined Aldious. In November of the same year the band released their debut EP Dear Slave . The album, written, produced and published entirely by the band itself, quickly sold out. In March, Sawa returned to Aldious and drummer Aruto completed the line-up . Shortly thereafter, the band founded their own label Bright Star Records and signed a contract with Spinning in April. On July 7, 2010, Aldious' first single Defended Desire was released and on October 13, 2010 the band released their first studio album, Deep Exceed . The album made it to number 15 on the Oricon Album Charts. On October 12, 2011, the second studio album Determination was released . The album reached number 13 in the charts.

In June 2012, Rami left the band for health reasons. About a month later, Re: NO, a member of the pop duo Suitei Shoujo from 2001 to 2006, was introduced as the new singer. Aldious' third studio album District Zero was released on May 15, 2013. With District Zero the band reached the top 10 of the Oricon album charts for the first time. With their fourth single Dominator (published as a double A-side with I Don't Like Me ) the band achieved their highest position in the Oricon single charts at number 12. The fourth studio album Dazed and Delight was released on June 18, 2014 . In November of the same year Aruto left the band due to their upcoming wedding and the associated move far away from Tokyo.

In April 2015 Marina Bozzio, stepdaughter of drummer Terry Bozzio, was introduced as a new band member. For You / Dearly / Believe Myself , the first single in the new line-up was released on July 8, 2015, the fifth studio album Radiant A on December 2, 2015. Radiant A was also released in Europe in March 2017 after the band signed a contract with JPU Records had signed. The sixth studio album Unlimited Diffusion was released on May 10, 2017 . In November 2018, shortly after the release of the third EP All Brose , Re: NO announced that she was leaving the band after she was found to have a gaping tube . The band decided to go on without a new singer for the time being and instead went with the two singers Saki (from the band Cyntia) and R! N on the upcoming Japan tour from April to November 2019. In May 2019, Toki announced that she had married and that she is pregnant. On June 9, she played the last concert with the band for the time being and then went on maternity leave. Destrose guitarist Narumi will represent her during the tour.

On August 6, 2019, Aldious announced that they had signed R! N as a permanent singer for the band. In addition, the current tour was extended to December 2019.
