Aldnei Siqueira

Aldnei José Siqueira (born March 15, 1964 in Almirante Tamandaré ) is a Brazilian local politician of the PSD of the state of Paraná .

Siqueira was elected councilor of the Câmara Municipal of Almirante Tamandaré since 2008, where he belonged to the Democratas (DEM) party founded in 2007 .

In 2011, he and his family were threatened with death if he did not withdraw his candidacy for the planned next election as Mayor of Almirante Tamandaré . In the local elections in 2012, he ran as a candidate for the PSD and was elected by a support alliance of 12 parties (PSD, PRB, PDT, PTB, PSL, PSC, PR, PPS, PMN, PTC, PRP and PC do B) with 37, 13% of the electoral vote elected the new city prefect of Almirante Tamandaré. He took office on January 1, 2013, succeeding Vilson Goinski .

When he took office, he was confronted with the R $ million scandal that had been taken over from his predecessor, namely that 28 trucks were stolen from municipal vehicle fleets in Paraná, including that of Almirante Tamandaré. Since mid-2013 he has been responsible for repairing the damage in Almirante Tamandaré caused by the flood disaster in Paraná in June 2013.

In his candidacy as president of the influential Associação dos Municípios da Região Metropolitana de Curitiba (Assomec), the association of 29 cities in the metropolitan region of Curitiba , he was defeated by the more experienced local politician Luizão Goulart .

Aldnei Siqueira is married and lives in Almirante Tamandaré.
