Alejandro José Marqués Méndez (born August 4, 2000 in Caracas ) is a Spanish - Venezuelan football player . The striker plays for the reserve of Juventus and Spanish junior national team.

Career

Marqués was born in Caracas and moved to Spain at the age of 13. In 2013 he started playing for Espanyol Barcelona's youth division . He then moved to Jàbac Terrassa the following year , before moving to FC Barcelona on June 14, 2017 . Marqués made his debut for the Barcelona reserve team in the Segunda División on March 17, 2018 in a 1-1 away match against Lorca FC .

On January 24, 2020, he moved to Juventus Turin for 8.2 million euros . On June 15, 2020, Marqués was nominated for the Golden Boy 2020 .

National team

Marqués was entitled to represent his homeland Venezuela in international games, but was called up to the Spanish U19 national team. He represented Spain at the 2019 European Under-19 Football Championship , scored three goals in nine games and won the title with his team.
