Aleksander Skorupa

Aleksander Marek Skorupa (born December 12, 1955 in Brzeg Dolny ) is a Polish politician of the Platforma Obywatelska ( Civic Platform ).

Skorupa graduated from the Wroclaw University of Technology ( Politechnika Wrocławska ) with a master's degree. In 1990 he became mayor of Brzeg Dolnys and remained in this position for the following 17 years. In 1991 he joined the Liberal Democratic Congress , which was incorporated into the Unia Wolności in 1994 . 1994 to 1998 he was a member of the City Council of Wroclaw ( Breslau ), and then to 2002 Sejmik of Lower Silesia . In 2001, Skorupa joined the citizens' platform. In the early parliamentary elections in 2007 , he ran in constituency 3 Breslau ( Wrocław ) and was able to move into the Sejm with 4851 votes . In the Sejm he worked (2008) in the commissions for administration and internal affairs ( Administracji i Spraw Wewnętrznych ) and public finances ( Finansów Publicznych ). On December 28, 2010, Aleksander Skorupa was appointed voivode of Lower Silesia by Donald Tusk and then resigned from his mandate for the Sejm .

Aleksander Skorupa is married.
