Aleksandras Getautas

Aleksandras Getautas (* 10. March 1976 ) is a from Lithuania originating handball player and coach .

Career

The 1.91 meter tall Getautas plays in the back and outside positions . He played 14 senior and 47 senior junior internationals for his native Lithuania.

In 1993/98 he played with Bundesliga club "Maistas Klaipėda " - EHF Cup participant and 1999-00 with "Lūšis Akademikas Kaunas " - EHF Cup participant. From 2000 to 2005 he played at TSV Bremervörde. In 2005 he moved from the regional league from TSV Bremervörde to TSV Hannover-Anderten / HSV Hannover where he played in the Regionalliga Nord and in the 2nd Bundesliga, and was in the meantime also responsible as a coach for the second men's team. In 2009 he ended his professional career at HSV Hannover.

As a B license holder (acquired in 2005) he coached the first men's team of Sportfreunde Söhre v. 1947 e. V. as player-coach in the state league (promotion to the association league 2011) Hanover.
