The Alemannischer Musikverband eV (AMV) based in Lörrach was founded in 1904. It currently comprises 62 member associations with a total of over 3,200 members.

The AMV is a member association of the Federation of German Brass Music Associations . The Association's Youth Orchestra (VJO) is also part of the AMV.

Association youth orchestra

The Association Youth Orchestra (VJO) was founded in 2007 by the then association conductor Ulrich Winzer. In the VJO, children from different clubs should have fun making music together and be able to develop musically. Anyone who has the young musician badge in silver or a similar level can take part.
