Alessandro Bega (born January 11, 1991 in Cernusco sul Naviglio ) is an Italian tennis player .

Career

Alessandro Bega mainly plays tournaments on the Future and Challenger Tour. So far he has won nine singles and eight doubles on the Future Tour. On the Challenger Tour, he has not made it past the quarter-finals in singles, but in doubles he made it to the semi-finals in Kyoto .

Bega made his debut on the ATP World Tour in Washington in 2017 . On his first attempt, he managed to qualify for the main draw in the individual at an ATP World Tour 500 tournament. In the first round he was defeated by the Tunisian Malek Jaziri in two sets. Bega is trained by former Italian tennis player Laura Golarsa . His best place in the world rankings is a 259th place, achieved in July 2016.
