Alex Sanchez
Alex Sanchez (* 5. June 1973 in Ponce , Puerto Rico ) is a former Puerto Rican boxer in the straw weight .
Professional career
In 1991 he started his professional career successfully. On December 22, 1993, already in his 12th fight, he boxed against Orlando Malone for the WBO world championship and won by knockout. He lost this belt after six successful title defenses in August 1997 to the WBC world champion Ricardo López im Title union fight by technical knockout in round 5.
In 2011 he ended his career.
