Alexander Sinclair
William Alexander Sinclair (born June 28, 1911 in Liverpool , United Kingdom , † October 2, 2002 in Kettering , Ohio , USA ) was a Canadian ice hockey player .
Career
Alexander Sinclair began his career as a hockey player with the Fort William Maroons, for which he was active in the junior division from 1929 to 1931 in the Thunder Bay Hockey League. He then spent two seasons with the Lakehead Woodsmen in the senior league. From 1933 to 1936 he played for the Port Arthur Bearcats, with whom he represented Canada at the 1936 Winter Olympics. Following the tournament he played from 1936 to 1939 for the Wembley Monarchs in the English National League . From 1939 to 1942 he ran for the Fort Frances Maple Leafs in his Canadian homeland. Most recently he played for the Port Arthur Shipbuilders for two years. After his active career, he was the manager of various ice hockey stadiums for several decades.
International
For Canada , Sinclair took part in the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , where he and his team won the silver medal.
