Alex Thompson

Alex Thompson (* in Kentucky ) is an American film director and screenwriter .

Life

Alex Thompson is from Kentucky and received a Masters degree from DePaul University School of Cinematic Arts. After working on the television series Humane Resources and several short films, Thompson made his directorial debut in a feature film with Saint Frances . For the tragic comedy that Thompson presented at the South by Southwest Film Festival in March 2019 , his life partner Kelly O'Sullivan , who also stars the young author Bridget, wrote the script. Thompson had met O'Sullivan during a theater reading. The film won an Audience Award and a Special Jury Award at the South by Southwest Film Festival .
