Raige (* 20th August 1983 in Alpignano , Metropolitan city of Turin , as Alex Andrea Vella ) is an Italian rapper .

Career

Vella started performing as a rapper at the age of 16. In 2004 he teamed up with his younger brother Jari (stage name Ensi ) and Rayden to form the group One Mic , which debuted in 2005 with the album Sotto la cintura . In 2006 Raige also released his first solo album Tora-Ki . Raige was heard in three songs on Rayden's album CALMA in 2007. After the single Hip Hope , which was offered as a free download in 2008, Raige released his next album Zer06-Zer08 in 2009 , which also featured Ensi and Tormento . Together with the free EP Zer09 (2010), the album was later part of the compilation Zer06-Zer09 (2011).

In 2012, Raige returned with the new album Addio , which reached number 20 in the charts and again contained a large number of collaborations with other rappers, such as Salmo . On the occasion of Christmas 2013 he published the song Stelle . After legal problems with his record company, the rapper signed a new contract with Warner in 2014 and released the new album Buongiorno LA , from which u. a. the single Dimenticare (mai) was released in collaboration with Annalisa . Alex appeared in 2016 and at the end of the year Raige's participation in the 2017 Sanremo Festival was announced. There he went into the race together with Giulia Luzi and the song Togliamoci la voglia , but reached last place.
