Alex Wilmot-Sitwell

Alex Wilmot-Sitwell (born March 16, 1961 ) is President for Europe and Emerging Markets (excluding Asia) at Bank of America Merrill Lynch .

biography

Wilmot-Sitwell was born in Great Britain on March 16, 1961 . He successfully completed his studies in modern history at Bristol University . Before joining Warburg Dillon Read , he was Head of Finance at Robert Fleming & Co. in South Africa. In 1995 he held the same post at UBS in South Africa and moved to London in 1998, where he became Director of UK Investment Banking.

In 2004, Alexander Wilmot-Sitwell became Deputy Global Head of the European Investment Banking department and in November 2005 took on the same function in the Investment Banking division. Most recently he was chairman of the UBS Investment Bank.

In May 2012, Wilmot-Sitwell moved to Bank of America Merrill Lynch, whose activities in Europe and the emerging markets (excluding Asia) he is now responsible for.

Wilmot-Sitwell has participated in numerous important transactions from a wide variety of companies such as Anglo American Corporation, Old Mutual , Liberty International , ScottishPower , Wolseley, ICI, SABMiller plc, Carlton Communications, British Airways and Shell.
