Later the school name was changed to Ladywell School . In February 2000 the now obsolete school was converted into a commercial building.
description
The former school is on Duke Street, east of Glasgow city center. It is designed in the historicizing Italianate style , but also shows details of the Greek Revival . The north-facing main facade of the two-story building is largely symmetrical. Wings with stylized triangular gables protrude on both sides . A slender tower rises up in the left inner corner, stylistically reminiscent of a Renaissance campanile , but is not free-standing. A round arched arcade stretches along the main facade . The final, flat sloping roofs are covered with slate .
