Alexander Dinelaris, Jr.

Alexander Dinelaris, Jr. is a screenwriter who, along with three other writers, won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay at the 2015 Academy Awards with Birdman or (The Unexpected Power of Cluelessness) .

life and work

Dinelaris says he began writing plays in 1990 after completing his training as a film director. Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu , the director of Birdman , was on Dinelaris 2009 Off-Broadway -Stück Still Life attentively and asked him to help with the screenplay for the film Biutiful . Iñárritu and Dinelaris wrote the script for Birdman together with Nicolás Giacobone and Armando Bó , who were also involved in the work for Biutiful . The four filmmakers are currently working on the television series The One Percent , the first season of which was ordered by the American television station Starz .

Dinelaris is the father of a daughter who was born in 2010.
