Alexander Hildebrand
Alexander Hildebrand (born December 24, 1921 in Tallinn ; † August 3, 2005 ) was a Swedish chess composer . He was a well-known collector of chess stamps .
Chess composition
Since 1938 Hildebrand published more than 350 chess compositions, including 150 studies . 85 of his compositions received awards, including 20 first places. His favorite subjects were the albino , the pickanniny and pawn conversions , in studies the positional draw .

Solution:
After the seduction 1. Sa4? would be Bb3? wrong because of 2. Rxc3 Bxa4 3. Rd3 + and with this spike the knight and the game are lost. But after the intermediate chess 1.… Bc4 +! 2. Kf2 does the runner fork Lb3 3. Txc3 LXA4 and white is a draw not get out. Therefore better:
1. Nb2 – d1! Lg8-b3
2. Tc2xc3 Lb3xd1 +
3 Ke2-d2 SD8-f7 It threatened both Td2 + and Rc8. No matter where the knight moves, the white pieces dominate the bishop.
4. Rc3 – a3 Bd1 – h5
5. Ra3 – a4 + Kd4- ~ 5
6. Ra4 – a5 + With this skewer, the bishop and the game are lost.

3.… Nd8 – b7
4. Rc3 – h3 Bd1 – g4
5. Rh3 – h4 the tied bishop cannot be saved.
or
3.… Nd8 – e6
4. Rc3 – h3 Bd1 – a4
5. Rh3 – h4 + echo . Again the runner is conquered by a spear.

Hildebrand was a journalist. From 1956 to 1961 he was editor of the study department of the magazine Tidskrift för Schack . 1966 to 1974 he was the study editor of the magazine Stella Polaris .
title
In 1956 Hildebrand became international referee for chess compositions and in 1977 the world chess federation FIDE awarded him the title of international master for chess compositions . Hildebrand was a delegate from Estonia and later from Sweden to the Standing Commission for Chess Composition at FIDE ( PCCC ).
