Alexander Jank (born March 9, 1975 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football player and coach . He is the younger brother of Christoph Jank , who was also a professional soccer player.
Career
The defensive player began his football career at the traditional Vienna club . There he made the leap into the battle team of Vienna (and the U21 national team), which played in the then 2nd division (now the HfM-Erste-Liga). There they made it into the Austrian Cup final in 1997 in which the final against Sturm Graz was lost. In 1998 he moved to the Bundesliga for SV Ried , where he immediately won the Austrian Cup and played through in the final, in which they beat Sturm Graz 3-1 . His other stations were then in Ländle at FC Lustenau and SCR Altach , before he went back east to ASK Schwadorf in summer 2006 . Since the summer of 2008 he has been playing for SK Schwadorf 1936, which was founded after the ASK was renamed FC Trenkwalder Admira as a rescue club for the amateurs of the ASK, in the 2nd regional league east in Lower Austria.
After the 2009/10 season, in which he won the championship title with Schwadorf and thus made it to the Lower Austria regional league , Jank moved to ASK-BSC Bruck an der Leitha . In the 2014/15 season he was active as a player-coach for SC Pottenstein in the 2nd class Triestingtal . Jank has been coaching AC Casino Baden since 2015 .
