Alexander Evgenjewitsch Shinin ( Russian Александр Евгеньевич Шинин ; born January 7, 1984 in Chelyabinsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with HK Traktor Chelyabinsk in the Continental Hockey League .
Career
Alexander Schinin began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of the HK Tractor Chelyabinsk , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Vysschaya League , the second Russian division, in the 2001/02 season . In his rookie year , he scored one goal in 38 games and gave four assists. Then the defender played regularly for two years for Severstal Tscherepowez in the Superliga , while he was used in parallel for the second team in the third-rate Pervaya League .
For the 2004/05 season , Schinin returned to his hometown, where he defended for HK Metschel Chelyabinsk in the Vysschaya League. The following season he began with his city neighbors and his ex-club HK Traktor Tscheljabinsk, which at the end of the season as the second division champion achieved promotion to the super league. The former junior national player, however, moved again to Severstal Tscherepowez in the Super League after 18 games and took part with the team from the 2008/09 season in the game operation of the newly founded Continental Hockey League .
Before the 2009/10 season , the Russian was appointed team captain at Severstal Tscherepowez. He initially held this post in the following season , before moving to his home club HK Traktor Tscheljabinsk within the KHL in October 2010 after only three games.
In May 2013, after more than 140 KHL roles for tractors, he returned to Severstal Tscherepowez and was appointed assistant captain there.
Between 2015 and 2019 he was again under contract with HK Traktor Chelyabinsk.
International
For Russia , Schinin took part in the U18 World Junior Championship in 2002 , where he and his team won the silver medal. He contributed to this success with an assist in eight games.
