Alexander Längle

Alexander Ignaz Längle (born June 7, 1865 in Klaus ; † August 30, 1945 ibid) was an Austrian politician ( CSP ), embroidery owner and Fergger . From 1926 to 1928 he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament and from 1907 to 1934 Klaus's community leader.

Live and act

Alexander Längle attended elementary school in his hometown of Klaus and subsequently worked as an embroidery owner and Fergger. As an embroidery owner, he was a member or committee member of the Vorarlberg Embroidery Association.

He was politically active as a member of the Christian Social Party and was active in Klaus' local politics for a long time. In 1907 he was elected mayor of Klaus' parish, and he held this office until 1934. Längle ran for the Christian Social Party in the state elections in 1923 and was sworn in after Hermann Mayer's resignation from the mandate on December 22, 1926 as a representative of the Feldkirch electoral district in the Vorarlberg state parliament. He belonged to the state parliament until April 1, 1928, or the end of this legislative period, and in the 1927 session was a member of the medical committee and a member of the school committee.

In addition to his political activities, Längle was involved in founding the Klaus volunteer fire brigade and was a member of the Klaus church choir. In the Klauser church choir he also held the function of organist and choir regent from 1882 to 1945. In the field of church music, he was also involved as a member of the Federation for the Care of Catholic Church Music in Vorarlberg, where he was head of the church choirs in the Vorderland district. He was also a member of the male choir Klaus and was active there as a conductor and board member.

Private

Alexander Längle was born as the son of the farmer, teacher and organist Franz Josef Längle (1826–1895). His mother, Katharina Längle, née Summer (1839–1903) was born in Klaus, as was his father. On November 16, 1896, Alexander Längle married Sofie Summer (1866–1943), who was also from Klaus. Alexander and Sofie Längle became parents of six children. Their three sons and three daughters were born between 1897 and 1907.
