The Alexander Lake is a lake in mountainous Summit County in northeastern Utah . The lake is located in the southwestern part of the Uinta Mountains between the Iron Mine Mountain and Haystack Mountain , north of the Provo River . The closest places are Samak and Kamas , which are 27 and 35 kilometers west of the lake, respectively.

The lake was named after an explorer and settler.

The lake has an area of ​​approximately 9.7 hectares. The banks of the Alexander Lake are forested. In September 2018 there was a major forest fire near the lake.
