Alexander Monro III.

Alexander Monro III. (Born November 5, 1773 in Edinburgh ; † March 10, 1859 ) was a Scottish anatomist.

Monro followed his father Alexander Monro II (1733-1817) and grandfather Alexander Monro I (1697-1767) as professor of anatomy at the University of Edinburgh . In 1798 he was elected a member ( Fellow ) of the Royal Society of Edinburgh .
