Alexander Munro II

Alexander Monro II (born May 22 or March 10, 1733 in Edinburgh , † October 2, 1817 there ) was a Scottish anatomist.

Life

Monro was a professor at the University of Edinburgh , where he had studied medicine from 1750. In 1783 he was elected a member ( Fellow ) of the Royal Society of Edinburgh . From 1804 he was a foreign and from 1812 honorary member of the Prussian Academy of Sciences .
