Alexander Benedikt Sobieski

Alexander Benedikt Sobieski ( September 9, 1677 - November 16, 1714 ) was a Polish prince.

He was the eighth child of Johann III. Sobieski (1629–1696, from 1674 King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania ) and his wife Maria Kazimiera Sobieska (1641–1716).

For health reasons - he suffered from rheumatism - he moved with his mother to Rome in 1710, where he appeared as a poet and art patron and died in 1714. His tomb is in the crypt of the local Capuchin monastery.
