Oleksandr Tschyrkow ( Ukrainian Олександр Чирко́в , English transcription Oleksandr Chyrkov , born June 16, 1996 ) is a Ukrainian badminton player . He starts in parabadminton in the starting class SL3 for the disabled in singles, doubles and mixed. Tschirkow is preparing to participate in the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo .

Athletic career

At the European Badminton Championships for the disabled in Rodez in 2018 , Tschirkow made it to the individual finals, in which he was defeated by the Englishman Daniel Bethell . In doubles, he was eliminated in the group phase and in mixed in the quarterfinals. Tschirkow took part in the Badminton World Championship for the disabled in Basel in 2019 , but could not repeat his medal success.
