Alexandra Boiger

Alexandra Boiger (* in Munich ) is a writer and illustrator of picture books for children and young people.

Life

Boiger was born in Munich as the youngest of 7 siblings. After finishing school, she studied graphic design at the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences . After graduating, she first worked for the animation film departments of Warner Brothers and Dreamworks . She then drew as an illustrator for children's books and also writes and illustrates books herself. She lives in California with her husband and daughter.

She became known for the bestseller She Persisted by Chelsea Clinton , to which she contributed the pictures and reached number 1 on the New York Times bestseller list , and the follow-up volume She Persisted Around the World .
