María Alexandra Escobar Guerrero (born July 17, 1980 in Esmeraldas ) is an Ecuadorian weightlifter .

Career

Alexandra Escobar took part in the 2008 Summer Olympics, where she was able to achieve fifth place in the category up to 58 kg with a total performance of 223 kg. At the 2004 Summer Olympics , she was seventh in the category up to 58 kg with 215 kg. She won the bronze medal at the 2001 World Championships in the category up to 53 kg with a total performance of 205 kg.
