Alexandre Delmar

Alexandre Delmar (born July 14, 1975 in Nîmes , Gard ) is a French writer.

Life

Alexandre Delmar studied management and is now a manager in a French bank. In order to accept his own homosexuality , he began to write down his life story. This resulted in his first book, Prelude à une vie heureuse . The novel became an instant bestseller in France, where it was the best-selling gay book for two years in a row.

The author continues to work in a bank today. In the meantime he has published other books that have not yet been translated into German.

His literary role models include the Belgian writer Amélie Nothomb , the French author Philippe Besson and the American writer and essayist Edmund White .
