Alexandros Tzorvas ( Greek Αλέξανδρος Τζόρβας , born August 12, 1982 in Athens ) is a Greek football player and acts in the position of goalkeeper .
Career
Alexandros Tzorvas began his career at the youth academy of Panathinaikos Athens , where he played until summer 2001. After a contract with Agios Nikolaos based in Crete , Tzorvas moved to FC Marko in January 2003, before returning to Panathinaikos Athens in the summer of the same year, where he signed a professional contract. In 2004 he won the Greek championship as well as the cup . In the summer of 2005 Tzorvas was loaned to the Athens club Thrasyvoulos Fylis for half a year . In the 2007/2008 season, Tzorvas was loaned to OFI Crete . At the end of August 2011 he moved to US Palermo .
National team
From Otto Rehhagel Tzorvas was for the 2008 European Football Championship in Austria and Switzerland as the third goalkeeper behind Antonios Nikopolidis and Konstantinos Chalkias , nominated, but came to no use. For his first international game Tzorvas came on November 19, 2008 at the 1-1 home game of Greece against the Italian national team . At the 2010 World Cup in South Africa , he was the goalkeeper of the Greek team and stood between the posts in all 3 games.
