Alexei Feofilaktowitsch Pissemsky
Aleksey Pisemsky ( Russian Алексей Феофилактович Писемский ; born March 11 . Jul / 23. March 1821 greg. In Ramenje , † January 21 jul. / 2. February 1881 greg. In Moscow ) was a Russian writer.
Pissemsky studied mathematics in Moscow. After that he was in the civil service from 1844, first in the provinces and from 1866 to 1874 in Moscow.
He wrote novels, short stories and dramas in which he portrayed life in Russia realistically.
