Alexis FitzGerald senior
Alexis FitzGerald senior ( 1917 - June 16, 1985 ) was an Irish solicitor and politician. He was a member of the Seanad Éireann , the upper house of the Irish Parliament , from 1969 to 1981 .
FitzGerald was elected to the 12th Seanad Éireann in 1969 for the Fine Gael . In the elections for the 13th and 14th Seanad Éireann in 1973 and 1977, he was able to defend his mandate .
His nephew Alexis FitzGerald junior also became a Fine Gael politician.
